RetailMeNot App Review

The RetailMeNot app has a heap of discounts that will save you moneyWell, this isn’t a new app but it’s one that we have just started using. And we love it. If you haven’t tried it yet, you are probably spending more than you need to.

You may have used retailmenot.com before to get discount coupons, but this app makes it easier to get the best deal when you are out-and-about, and haven’t had time to research your purchase.

The app works much the same as the website: you can see who has the best discount on a specific product or you can what specials a particular outlet has going: if you feel like grabbing a bite to eat at Subway, you can see what discounts are currently valid.

The RetailMeNot app draws it’s deals from the company’s huge database, and if you didn’t know it includes stores like Kmart, Pizza Hut, Best Buy, Olive Garden, H & M, Target, Macy’s and many more.

You can browse deals by categories like Apparel, Electronics, Food and Office Supplies (just examples – there are heaps), or you can flick through the “Hottest Deals” to see if anything catches your eye.

What We Like

  • It’s available for iPhone, iPad & Android, and it’s free.
  • Lots and lots of deals.
  • No need to print coupons, just show it at the checkout.
  • Easy to use, works well and has plenty of features.
  • It’s already saved us money on things we would have bought anyway.
  • If you are at the mall, it can alert you to deals nearby.

What We Don’t Like

  • Seemed to drain our phone battery a bit.

Conclusion

We’ve only been using it for a couple of weeks but it’s easily saved us over $50 so far, and this wasn’t on impulse buys but stuff we had to get. As the RetailMeNot app is completely free, we recommend you download it and give it a try. We think you’ll love it too! More information on the app and download links here.

  1. This is fantastic 🙂 Nowadays, whether you save $10 or $50, it’s still a save. We all need to be more frugal and I’m seriously looking for more ways on how to do that. Thanks for the review, I’ll definitely check the retailmenot app!

  2. It’s definitely saving us money. Not huge amounts but like you say, it all counts and what we save goes towards paying off our debts. The battery thing is a bit of a pain though, there’s no doubt it’s draining it. But it’s not a deal-breaker.
